Leashed-4

The final photograph is really the first in the series where the subject is shown in his full perspective. The inclusion of the owner’s arm here is crucial, as the leading line of the lease echoes the expansive landscape’s line at the waters edge. Tonally speaking, this is one of the brighter of the series. The arm, the leash, and the subject all connected by similar darkened grey values. In that order, the viewer is pulled yet the focus of this linear series. He is tethered perhaps, but he is by no means controlled.
Walking away, this is also the only of the series to include motion. The importance of this is at your own narrative discretion.
